- It’s always patio season at Penguin Ed’s, Warm meals out with friends in Fayetteville are a delight every winter at the original historic B&B location.

A trip to Fayetteville in the winter usually means mild weather, but it can still get cold there, especially once the sun has gone down. On those special nights, we are ultra grateful to enjoy this favorite warm and welcoming local restaurant on their heated patio.

Now with two locations to serve you, (until Covid hit there were three) owners Ed and Liz Knight began with the purpose in mind to provide a place where fami- lies and friends could gather for enjoying a home-cooked meal at a price that would be sustainable and fair for all who came.

While Penguin Ed’s barbeque is prepared by a slow, hickory-enhanced method for smoking meats, they have won numerous awards through the years. Once ordered from the menu, the entree is always prepared fresh from the grill. So allow a good

15 minutes cooking time. The taste result, however, is worth the wait.

All sandwiches are served on homemade Texas Toast. Chips are complimentary when dining i. Other unique items on the menu they are famous for are fried pickles, fried okra and Betty’s fried pies.
