BIG WEEK Kid’z N’ Klubs Golf Academy Proviso Township youth aged 8 to 17 can participate in a free golf academy through PLCCA and Fresh Meadow Golf Club, 2144 S. Wolf Rd. in Hillside. Free School Physicals and Immunizations The Loyola Medicine Pediatric Mobile Health Unit will be at the Park District of Forest Park, 7501 Harrison St., on July 15 and 22 for physicals and school immunizations. Forest Park Annual Garden Walk Join the Historical Society of Forest Park on Saturday, July 17th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as beautiful outdoor spaces and gardens of Forest Park are showcased. Tickets are $15 in advance, and $20 day of the event. All tickets purchased will be picked up at Centuries & Sleuths Bookstore, 7419 Madison St., on the day of the event. Your ticket will also enroll you in free giveaways and prizes. Safety protocols and social distancing will be followed for the event.

Nature Photography at Trailside Museum

Family Nature Scavenger Hunt Challenge

Join the Forest Park Public Library on Saturday, July 10, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Trailside Museum, 738 Thatcher Ave. in River Forest, to see nature from a new perspective and create unique photographs. Bring any camera you have, smartphones included. Participants will learn about perspective techniques and explore the forest preserve. Photos emailed to the teaching artist after the event will be displayed online and at the library. Visit fppl.org/ events for more information.

Beginning on July 11, the library will be hosting a nature scavenger hunt. Search for interesting things in the natural world and hone your nature photography on the family scavenger hunt. The library will provide a map and what to look for, as well as access to a Padlet for sharing pictures of what you find on your walk. Children of all ages and their families are welcome.
