In May 2015, the Library will partner with a Library Materials Recovery and Collection Agency, to have lost library items returned. Patrons are encouraged to return lost items and clear up account balances before this service goes into effect. “We try to give patrons fair notice and ample opportunities to bring back materials, or to pay for those they know they’ve lost. Our ultimate goal is to have these materials available to the entire community, allowing us to better spend your money on new items, instead of replacing those that were already purchased,” said Library Director, Elyse Streit. During the month of April, lost items returned to the Circulation counter will have all associated costs waived. Patrons are encouraged to take advantage of this one-time opportunity to return lost items; Interlibrary Loan materials are excluded.
