None of these appeal as being particularly solid, but OSCARS MOONSHINE has slipped below the mark from which he completed a hat-trick in 2020 and a chance is taken that he’ll be able to build upon the slight promise of his 2 starts in the autumn. Bluffmeifyoucan is yet to string good runs together but would take high rank if backing up his Fontwell second, whilst Island Run is another player if jumping better

IMPACT DU BONHEUR displayed plenty of ability in French bumpers last year, winning his final start, and having subsequently switched to Paul Nicholls, a successful hurdles debut would come as no surprise Gyenyame stayed well on the Flat so this trip will suit and he looks the main danger, ahead of San Fermin.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

Racehorse & Jockey Welfare

The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority. The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation. The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards In addition Wincanton Racecourse employs three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse. In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital

Crossing the Course

The centre of the course viewing is available to all Premier enclosure ticket holders. Please note you must stay within the designated area and access will not be allowed from the time horses are on the course until all horses have left the course The only exception to this will be for owners and trainers with runners on the day and racecourse officials

Photography

Racegoers may take photographs for private use within the areas normally open to the public. Flash photography is not permitted.

Prize Money

As expressly permitted by the Wincanton Racecourse Special Conditions, attendees may not use mobile telephones, laptop computers or any other communications device whilst on the Racecourse to communicate with anyone outside the Racecourse for the purpose of or in connection with any betting. Any racegoer found to be in breach of this rule will be removed from the Racecourse.
