Horses are classed as a novice if they have yet to win a race, under the respective code, prior to the official start of the season, towards the end of April although for wins between 1st March and the end of the season they may continue to contest novice races until the end of the following October. This particular two miles, three furlongs and 154 yards novices’ hurdle race is for horses aged four-years-old and upwards.

PLAY SMARTER

Not the easiest puzzle to solve but a chance is taken on PRESENT FAIR. He didn’t show much in an Irish bumper on his only previous start under Rules, but could well leave that form behind now sent hurdling having joined a successful UK yard following a couple of Irish point wins earlier in the year. Imperial B G, Revasser and Hitching Jacking are a trio of potential threats. TIMEFORM PREDICTION: 1.PRESENT FAIR (IRE) 2.IMPERIAL B G (IRE) 3.REVASSER (IRE)
