Race Description
This is a two miles, five and a half furlongs handicap steeple chase for five-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 0 to 100. Once a horse has qualified for a handicap rating this is regularly reassessed. A below-par effort could result in a reduced rating whilst a strong performance could see the rating increased. Occasionally, horses are entered to race before their handicap rating has been reviewed and so to avoid recent winners being un-penalised they are allotted a mandatory penalty – usually 7lb.

PLAY SMARTER
QUEEN OF THE COURT has made a positive start over fences, winning under this rider here last month before backing that up with a good third at Huntingdon, and she’s taken to quickly resume winning ways in a race lacking depth. Doyannie left her chase debut/reappearance well behind when runner-up at Exeter and rates the main threat ahead of Caro des Flos.
