WELCOME TO SALISBURY RACECOURSE
Welcome to Whitsbury Manor Stud Bibury Cup Day.
We are very grateful to our principle sponsor today, as well as the generous support of Juddmonte, the European Breeders’ Fund, Trethowans and Mildren Constrruction.
At our most recent Father’s Day race meeting we welcomed a healthy sized crowd of just under 6,000. It is five years since the Sarum Enclosure over in the middle of the racecourse, had been so busy, which was great to see.

There were some good Salisbury links to Royal Ascot last week Bluestocking and Remarquee, which had both won in September, were third in the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes and second in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes, respectively. Relief Rally and Juniper Berries, which were first and second in a fillies race in mid-May, were second and fourth in the 26-runner Group 2, Queen Mary Stakes. Relief Rally came agonisingly close to winning it, beaten just a nose. The Hardwick Stakes, a Group 2, was won by the hugely popular Pyledriver. It is three years since his winning racecourse debut at Salisbury in July 2019, at odds of 50-1. Finally, four of last month’s Cathedral Stakes runners lined up in Saturday’s Group 1, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, including the 80-1 winner, Khaadem, which had finished third in our Listed race four weeks beforehand. The directors and staff wish you a successful and enjoyable afternoon, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
Best Wishes
Jeremy Martin Executive Director & Clerk of the Course
