TODAY’S TIPS DID YOU KNOW: The Hannon stable have won the Listed Stonehenge Stakes no less than four times in the last 10 years so it is interesting that they pitch once-raced maiden Monitor into today’s feature (6.53). RACE ONE PRIDE OF HAWRIDGE was an emphatic winner over this course and distance last month and could take some stopping again, despite being hit with an 11lb rise. Bolly Bullet appears to be the chief threat now bidding for the hat-trick and is likely to be on the premises again. Fitzrovia almost followed up a Bath triumph when finding only one too strong at this venue, and he completes the shortlist. WIN: PRIDE OF HAWRIDGE DANGER: BOLLY BULLET RACE TWO The Organiser sets the standard in this contest after his sixth-placed effort in the July Stakes at Newmarket and should make his presence felt now eased in grade. However, a chance is taken on WAR IN HEAVEN, who created a good impression when third at this track on debut and can step forward with the experience under his belt. Pearl Glory merits respect after her Lingfield success, while Zulu Tracker looks the pick of the newcomers. WIN: WAR IN HEAVEN DANGER: THE ORGANISER RACE THREE Madame Ambassador won well on her nursery debut at Nottingham earlier this month, but now has a 6lb rise to contend with. TARTAN CHIEF has hinted at some promise and looks to be on a fair opening mark. The son of Dark Angel should also be suited by the step up in distance and gets the vote to strike in this contest. Attache and Night Arc also have claims in this tight five-runner affair. WIN: TARTAN CHIEF DANGER: MADAME AMBASSADOR RACE FOUR ALBAHR readily defied a penalty to win a novice race at Haydock and that performance suggests that he is more than capable of making his mark at this level. Power Of Beauty has a similar profile to the selection and he cannot be discounted, while Sweeping was fourth in the Chesham at Royal Ascot and got off the mark at Catterick last time. Fuente Ovejuna improved significantly for her debut experience and she may have more to offer. WIN: ALBAHR DANGER: POWER OF BEAUTY RACE FIVE All of these have claims but preference is for WILD RHYTHM, who has improved with every start to date and the son of Dubawi may be hard to beat on his handicap debut. Halcyon Spirit was only narrowly denied at Wolverhampton last time and that form gives him a big chance. Mark Of Respect edges out Power Station to be the pick of the remainder. WIN: WILD RHYTHM DANGER: HALCYON SPIRIT RACE SIX AMALFI BAY arrives here on the back of two victories over 1m4f at Epsom last month and Roger Charlton’s progressive three-year-old can rack up the hat-trick, despite a 5lb rise for the latest of those victories. Temple Lock is another recent winner who merits plenty of respect, while Grand Scheme and Spirit Mixer are others capable of going well. WIN: AMALFI BAY DANGER: TEMPLE LOCK
