Race Description

This is a two mile handicap race for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 46 to 65 To qualify for a handicap rating horses must have run at least three times in a Flat race in Britain, or have run in no more than two Flat races run in Britain and won at least one of them. This rating then dictates the weight to be carried in a handicap. In simple terms a horse rated 65 in this particular race would be required to carry 5l.b more than a rival rated 60.

DECLARED RUNNERS 9

2022: EVALUATION 4 10 0 Callum Rodriguez EVENS (Keith Dalgleish) 7 ran

Tongue Strap worn by No 4. Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn by No 1, 8.

Stewards Note: TURNER GIRL: Following its run on 26/4/2023 it was reported that the horse lost a shoe.

Betting Forecast:

5-2 Glory And Honour (IRE), 5-1 Turner Girl (IRE), 7-1 Yorkindness (GB), 8-1 Easter Icon (GB), 9-1 We’ll Go Again (IRE), 12-1 Freewheelin (GB), 14-1 Fire Eyes (FR), 16-1 Bonne Vitesse (IRE), 25-1 Oh So Chic (GB)

Cases can be made for several, but TURNER GIRL left her reappearance effort well behind at Catterick just over a fortnight ago so, provided she copes with this extra distance, Ed Dunlop’s filly is fancied to double her career tally. Glory And Honour opened his account for the year at Wolverhampton last Wednesday and he should be in the mix under a penalty, along with We’ll Go Again.
