HORSE CARE AT PLUMPTON

At every race meeting at Plumpton there are three specially qualified Equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all horses in action. During a race two vets follow the action from the centre of the course and can attend a casualty in the same response time as the Paramedic team responsible for human casualties. The third vet is based at the Stable Yard where a close check is kept on all horses, especially those returning after a race.
