It is now standard practise for screens to be erected around any horse receiving veterinary attention; this also applies to jockeys being treated.

This does not reflect the severity of any injury but allows the vet or doctor some privacy and the patient a calm environment in which to make a recovery.

Please do not assume the worst if you see the screen erected around a horse or jockey.
