THE TOWN AND TRADE OF FARINGDON CHALLENGE CUP, for the first horse past the post owned by a Farmer of the Old Berkshire country. £275 to the winner, £130 to the second and £95 to the third A Memento to the winning Owner and Rider presented by a Member of the Allsopp Family Prize for Best Turned Out Horse kindly donated by Mr Erik Penser

To be ridden by Members, Subscribers or Farmers of the Old Berkshire Hunt. Riders must provide written proof that they are eligible to ride in this race if they do not hold an RQC signed by the Old Berks. The race will include a Heavyweight Section (13st 11lbs no penalties) Weights: 12st for Horses and Geldings aged 6 years and older; 11st7lb for Mares of 6 years and older; 11st10lb for 5-y-o Horses and Geldings; 11st3lb for 5-y-o Mares; 11st for 4-y-o Horses and Geldings; 10st7lb for 4-y-o Mares Penalties: A winner on or since 1st October 2021 in an eligible Steeplechase or Hurdle race under the Rules of any recognised Racing Authority (Point-to-Points excepted), or of a Mens, Ladies or Mixed Open Point-to-Point, to carry 7lb extra. Penalties are not cumulative.
