Little Big Bear produced a mightly impressive performance in August, winning the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh by an emphatic seven lengths. The Aidan O’Brien-trained colt made virtually all and was ridden out towards the finish, completing the victory in fine style. That made it four consecutive victories for the three-year-old.

Indestructible left his mark on the Craven Stakes here last month, winning by a length-and-a-quarter. The Karl Burke-trained colt pulled way into the lead after one furlong before being headed three furlongs out. He then led again one furlong from the finish before he kept on well to take the honours. That was his second victory in five starts and is now set for his second run of the season.

Chaldean made it four consecutive victories for trainer Andrew Balding with a narrow win over Royal Scotsman in the Dewhurst Stakes in October. He was slowly into stride that day but led over six furlongs out.Jockey Frankie Dettori then got the answer he was looking for as the son of Frankel found just enough to fend off the danger from Royal Scotsman. He is now set for his second start of the season.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained Auguste Rodin justified the market support to secure a comfortable success in the Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster in October. That victory made is three wins from four starts and is now currently the most popular choice to take the honours in the Qipco 2000 Guineas.
