August Bank Holiday

Friday 25– Sunday 27 August

August Bank Holiday racing commences with a bang with our annual Friday night fireworks spectacle. On Saturday, the high octane Group racing features the competitive Celebration Mile and Prestige Stakes before the much-anticipated pony racing gets the action underway on a super Sunday.

The Group 3 Supreme Stakes and the everpopular amateur jockey’s handicap add intrigue to a fabulous weekend. Enjoy a family day out, with no charge for those under 18, and complimentary activities including traditional fairground rides, petting zoo, face painting, circus tutors and more. On track, the most valuable three days of racing at Goodwood outside of the flagship Qatar Goodwood Festival will take place.

These balmy late-summer afternoon race fixtures are an ideal escape during the working week, and the chance to experience Goodwood in all its glory, with the spectacular Sussex countryside as a fitting backdrop.

Season Finale

Our Season Finale has a relaxed, laid back feel with the atmosphere of a country-style meeting. In between some fantastic racing, enjoy the sounds of a strings band playing merry tunes against a backdrop of roaring fire pits, hay bales and toasted marshmallows.
