DECLARED RUNNERS 8 2022: SENSE OF DUTY 3 8 9 Tom Marquand 15-8 (William Haggas) 11 ran

Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn by No 6. Running for the first time since Wind Surgery No 3.

Stewards Note:

BRAD THE BRIEF: Following its run on 15/10/2022 it was reported that the horse lost a shoe.

ICONIC MOMENT: Following its run on 5/5/2023 it was reported that the trainer could not explain the poor run.

Probable S.P.’s: 4-1 Brad The Brief (GB), 9-2 Spycatcher (IRE), 5-1 Tiber Flow (IRE), Witch Hunter (FR), 11-2 Mount Athos (GB), 14-1 Judicial (IRE), 16-1 Iconic Moment (IRE), 33-1 Prince of Pillo (IRE)

An open-looking renewal which can go the way of BRAD THE BRIEF who found his first attempt at the top level too competitive on Champions Day at Ascot back in October, but Hugo Palmer’s 6-y-o can add to his already outstanding record fresh. Mount Athos had his winning run ended back on turf at Thirsk 10 weeks ago but he remains capable of better back on a synthetic surface, with recent Royal Ascot winner Witch Hunter another worth considering.

TIMEFORM PREDICTION: 1.BRAD THE BRIEF 2.MOUNT
