Race Description

1m 2f 70y

This is a one mile, two and a half furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds and upwards fillies and mares which have been rated from 69 to 88. Once a horse has qualified for a handicap rating this is regularly reassessed. A below-par effort could result in a reduced rating whilst a strong performance could see the rating increased. Occasionally, horses are entered to race before their handicap rating has been reviewed and so to avoid recent winners being un-penalised they are allotted a mandatory penalty – usually 6lb colours no horse

MARKET VALUE looks to start life in handicaps on an attractive mark so this upwardly-mobile daughter of Siyouni makes plenty of appeal. Ralph Beckett’s Sea The Stars filly also has better days ahead of her though and rates a big threat to William Haggas’ filly on her handicap debut too. Dubai Crystal and Sparks Fly also need factoring into an intriguing handicap.
