CITY SELECTIONS CLIPSHAM LA HABANA sets the standard with solid placed efforts at both Kempton and Wolverhampton and a repeat of either of those performances could well be good enough. Mindthegap wasn’t disgraced when fourth on debut at Kempton and he could improve enough to figure here, while Bluff, Yankee Spirit and Poetic Jack are all interesting newcomers. The betting market could prove the best guide to their chances.

PLAY SMARTER This shouldn’t take much winning for CLIPSHAM LA HABANA, whose two placed efforts rate a level above what his opposition have achieved so far. Mindthegap should improve from his debut and looks a clear second best, ahead of Crocodile Roll.
