CITY SELECTIONS NO SUCH LUCK lived up to his name at Lingfield last month, where he endured a luckless trip. Roger Ingram’s charge fly leapt out of the stalls and was then denied a clear run at a crucial stage, before charging home when the gaps appeared. The gelding seemingly finished full of running and, with just two attempts at this distance, he remains completely unexposed. Boasty trounced his field when winning here two weeks ago, and was raised 8lb for that success. Stall 12 is most concerning, though, and he may not be able to dominate in the same manner this afternoon. Pips Tune has been in blistering form of late, with figures of 1121 in his last four starts, and is another to consider.

PLAY SMARTER PIPS TUNE has thrived this season, and with Callum Hutchinson able to claim the full 5lb this time, he looks the one to beat in his bid for a fourth win of the year. Recent C&D winner Boasty can give another good show, whilst No Such Luck is also in fine heart and was unlucky not to get closer at Lingfield last time.
