WHOSE ROUND? COMPETITION BRIEF


OVERVIEW

WHOSE ROUND? Whose Round Glasgow is a project that looks at alcohol consumption in Glasgow and aims to develop and deliver an engaging campaign that young people and young adults can contribute to and be a part of. The campaign will run over 2–3 years and will use a variety of marketing and media options; including but not limited to social media, web and mobile technologies. This will allow the target audience of 16–24 year olds to engage with the themes and messages of the campaign as well as to co-produce the content and influence the delivery media.

All submissions may be used for marketing and website purposes by Whose Round Glasgow and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (GGC). Any artwork or submissions used will be attributed accordingly.

Competition

COMPETITION who

Whose Round Glasgow is running a competition for 16-26 year olds living in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area. The outcomes should be targeted at young people or young adults (16–26) in Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

what

The entries should explore specific and abstract ideas around the relationship between alcohol and young people and young adults in GGC. We are looking for a range of submissions across four categories that explore and respond to these themes. These include: Multimedia, Product, Graphics and Business & Marketing.

prizes

FIRST PRIZE ÂŁ1000 in cash. RUNNERS-UP The top three entries from each of the four categories will all be previewed as part of a city wide exhibition.

Entries should be submitted by FRIDAY 24th october 2014. Entries can be submitted digitally or via post. See terms and conditions for more details.

The top three entries from each category will be selected to participate in an exhibition of all the works held in Glasgow City Centre.

the process categories

We are looking for a range of submissions for each of the four categories. These categories include: Multimedia, Product, Graphics and Business/Marketing. The three top shortlisted entries from each category will take part in an exhibition in Glasgow and there will be ÂŁ1000 up for grabs for the overall winner on the night.

All submissions must select one of the following themes on which to base their deign response on: 1. To promote positive drinking cultures. 2. To share advice and safety messages. 3. To capture Glasgow’s drinking culture.

stages submission

Drinking is a journey and it is important for any successful campaign to understand behaviours and decision making; therefore we ask entrants to identify a stage of the journey as a focus for their submission.

All submissions must be received by Whose Round? before the deadline of 12 midnight on Friday 24th October 2014. Entrants Responsibilities:

The following are the terms upon which you may enter the Whose Round Glasgow Competition (the “Competition� offered by Snook, 2nd Floor, 151 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4SQ acting through the Whose Round project.

Consent to their name being released and used in any publicity accompanying or resulting from the Competition.

The Competition is open to citizens across the Greater Glasgow and Clyde area only. All entrants must be aged 16 - 26 at the time of submission. During submission, you will be asked to submit your main addresses postcode as way of validation for entry. Groups are also welcome, providing one individual acts as a lead and the group members are 16-26 at the time of submission.

By participating in the Competition, entrants:

Consent to their Further/Higher Education Institution (if applicable) being released and used in in any publicity accompanying or resulting from the Competition. Consent to notify the relevant person at their Further/Higher Education Institution (if applicable) of their entry in the Competition and that the name of the Institution may be released in accordance with these terms and conditions. Grant Snook a Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-SA 2.5 SCOTLAND Attribution, Noncommerial, Share Alike 2.5 UK license. Cannot submit, sell or distribute the content as part of this entry into another competition or agency within 12 months of the winners being announced.

Warrant that all necessary contents and permissions have been obtained from any subjects in their submissions. Agree that should their submission be used in accordance with these terms and conditions by Snook, NHSGGC or the Whose Round Project, that the work will be attributed to the entrant and consent to this. Agree to Snook and Whose Round processing their personal data contained in their submission for the purposes of the Competition, including but not limited to, the inclusion of their name on the Whose Round website. Submission details and contact: All entries must be submitted via WeTransfer.com to Competition@ WhoseRoundGlasgow.com. You must consider and agree to the WeTransfer terms and conditions and privacy policy before uploading submissions. Maximum combined file size is 100MB. If your file size exceeds 100MB please send a USB drive with your name, contact details and telephone number to the address below. Submissions can also be sent to; Whose Round, 2nd Floor, 151 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4SQ Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The deadline date is detailed in the Competition promotional

material. You will receive a response confirming receipt of your entry, however, this cannot be taken as conformation that the entry is suitable, in the correct format and will be accepted into the Competition. Fore those sending postal submissions, it is recommended that work is posted recorded delivery. If using other content from online (images, audio, text etc) please ensure you use content with an appropriate licence. (Creative Commons or Public License) Snook and Whose Round shall not be liable for any images which are obtained by third parties or downloaded from any website operated by Snook or Whose Round. The Competition will be judged within one month of the deadline date. The winner(s) will be chosen by the chosen by the judging panel detailed in the Competition promotional material which forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Those shortlisted and the winner will be contacted by Snook within 10 working days of judging and announced on the Whose Round website (www. whoseroundglasgow.com) and at the exhibition. Prizes will be given to the winner within 20 working days provided they have provided full contact details and are available. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

All work submitted must be the work of the individual submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that the work they submit has been taken with the permission of the subject and does not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Entrants must warrant that the work they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it. Snook reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend the Competition in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties. If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made by the promoter to contact the winner, then the prize will be reallocated to a runner-up. All prizes are non transferable. Scots law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts shall prevail.
