Sasha’s work as an author of self-help books for women struggling to make their way in the world has helped countless women find their strength and power. Sasha is also a professional counselor who works closely alongside clients from all walks of life through tough times such as personal or family counseling sessions. Sasha has helped people navigate through mental health issues like depression, workplace problems, and relationship difficulties. By sharing her journey and helping others to see the light at the end of the tunnel, Sasha is truly curating a safe space. These stepping stones led Sasha Mercedes to create her non-profit organization dedicated to the cause called Sister’s 2nd Chance. In Sasha Mercedes’ book “It’s A Losing Battle, But I Won”, she shares her personal experiences to help inspire others in addition to reminding them they don’t have to face the same experiences alone. By speaking openly about her own story and offering opportunities for counseling she aims to support under-served communities with her professional expertise and sound advice. As a counselor, she’s been able to open her private practice, Inside and Out Consulting, which provides mental health counseling that focuses on trauma and relationships within families and the LGBT community. Her other non-profit organization, Sisters 2nd Chance, offers support for women who may be in difficult situations by providing them with strong sisterhoods through comradeship or confidentiality depending upon what they need most at the moment; this way these ladies can overcome their obstacles together— perfecting an environment filled only positive influences!

Fast forward to 2022, Sasha Mercedes is not letting up on her mission. In the upcoming months, she will be hosting women empowerment brunches to honor women with a motivational speaker and free meals through her non-profit organization. She has also established an extension 36 wajmagazine.com
