On Sunday January 25, 2015 from 4:00-6:00 pm, the Waubun-Ogema-White Earth SRTS Committee held a community SRTS open house meeting in the Ogema Elementary School Open Gym. Available to the community members at the open house were the results from the strengths, barriers, and opportunities analysis seen in the previous chapter. Comments from members of the community are as follows and have not been edited. They are not listed in any priority order.

January 25th 2015 Community SRTS Open House Comments

1 Path between the School and Eagle Drive / Feather Street housing development.

2 Sidewalk along school and county road U.S. Highway 59. Crosswalk connection between the school and the Fire Hall (Emergency evacuation site).

3 School speed zone and speed radar on U.S. Highway 59.

4 The pedestrian activated signage on U.S. Highway 59 is not highly visible.

5 Improve lighting on U.S. Highway 59, especially near crosswalk and intersections.

6 Partner with MnDOT on resurfacing this Summer.

7 Stop light at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59, County Highway 18 and 370th (Kolb)

Street.
