Hello! from: YOUR EDITORS

HELLO MY NAME IS

Jasmine Nguyen

Hey Seals! I am the other half of your 20172018 historian. My name is Phillip Tran and I am an incoming sophomore. I am excited to be working with Jasmine to capture memories we have made as a club. Some facts about me: I LOVE eating and cooking food! I always enjoy a nice conversation with boba to top it off. I am also starting to do more as a photographer, so if you have we have the same interest we can teach each other some things. Overall I just like to have fun and try new things.

Hey everyone! I am this year's 2017-2018 historian for West Covina High School's Key Club and an incoming Junior. I will be working along side Phillip Tran and I could not have asked for a better partner to help me fulfill my role as Historian ! Some facts about me: I really like going out with my friends and to take "aesthetic" pictures because it's nice to have photos to look back on in the future . I also want to be a Veterinarian when i'm older because I enjoy being around animals and I want to be able to help them with any discomforts they may have (: .

RELAY FOR LIFE 5/13/17 The West Covina Relay for Life was help on May 13th at the Edgewood High School Track. The Relay for life is an international fundraiser founded by the American Cancer Society to take action against the disease. From 7am to 10pm, Key Clubbers helped set up water stations and tents around the track and also helping the West Covina Kiwanis with their booth selling cupcakes and cheering runners. At the end of the event, the grand total number of hours was over 100 hours. - Joshua Kuik | Sophomore | Secretary |

BINGO NIGHT - 05/16/17-

Every once a month our club goes to the West Covina Health Center to help the elderly play bingo. Members will help pass out snacks as well as helping each player with reading their card. “I really enjoyed seeing them have fun.“ Melvin Han | Freshman | Member |

D35W MAY DCM:

PIED The May DCM had a little twist compared to the other DCM's; Key Club Presidents, the new DLT, and LTG Guy Suankaew got pied. We also had a service event which was plarning, and many members pulled through even though is was super hot, which I was really proud about. My favorite part was definitely watching people get pied even though is was really messy. - Shannon Lo | Senior | Spirit Task Coordinator |

LAST MEETING AKA OFFICER SENIOR NIGHT May 17th was our last meeting of the year and our new officer elects decided to throw a little surprise for our Senior officers! The new board gathered together to plan a "Senior Night" as a thank you for all the work they have done for us before they leave.

Banquet ONE LAST TIME

Banquet is a time to reflect on all that was accomplished during the term and to celebrate our achievements as a division. At the divisional banquet, we were able to recognize the spirit, service, and dedication that was put into the 2016-2017 term. Although it seems as if yesterday was the beginning of IP LTG (Immediate Past Lieutenant Governor) Dylan Tran’s term, it was time for his final sign off. The banquet was themed “One Last Time” to represent how the division will come together with Dylan and celebrate with him for one last time. - Valerie Manzano | Senior | Vice President

THE

SENIOR SEALS SIGNING OFF

I wanna thank Key Club for giving me the opportunity to immerse myself within my community along with improving my leadership skills and building relationships with others. It is truly a club that encompasses all facets that an individual, especially high school students, should engage themselves in. - Adele Nguyen | 2016-17 President |

Key Club has been a place I could meet wonderful people and also give back to the community, so thank you Key Club for all the wonderful wild memories. - Andy Kwan | 2016-17 Vice President |

Being a Key Club officer for three years has taught me important values such as caring and inclusiveness. Key Club became my second family where I could serve my community alongside newlymade friends. It became a safe and fun environment where I could grow into a better leader and person. Key Club has undoubtedly made my high school experience all the more profound and memorable. - Eric Au | 2016-17 Vice President |

Key Club is definitely the type of club that will get members out of their comfort zone. I know it’s helped me feel like part of an amazing community of fun and hard working peers, I hope that all of you underclassmen make the most out of your time here. I’ll miss you guys! Viola Chow | 2016-17 Public Relations |
