Hello! From: Your Editors Hello Seal-y Key Clubbers! It's been awhile since our last newsletter, but we hope you are all keeping up with your school work and extracurricular activities. Thanksgiving break is coming up soon, so keep it up! October was a busy month with spirit sessions and service events leading up to Fall Rally, so we would like to thank you for all of your support and cooperation. In this newsletter you will get to see our amazing members volunteering and preparing for Fall Rally by learning cheers at spirit sessions. We are proud to present to you the October Newsletter! Enjoy ! (-: Jasmine Nguyen & Phillip Tran

October Adopt-a-Park Every once month, our home club volunteers to help clean up Cameron Park so it could look spotless. Adopt-a-Parks are held from 9am - 10am on the first Saturday of the month. We highly encourage you to come join us to keep our park clean.

Region 13 Training Conference

At RTC, our members were able to meet key clubbers from all over our region. There, they attended workshops in certain areas that interest them or fields which they hope to use to help other Key Clubbers in their home clubs and division. Concluding RTC, our member left with a newfound knowledge of Key Club and the Kiwanis Family and the skills necessary to become effective member and leader.

AIDS Walk LA

On October 15, our Key Club, West Covina Interact Club and LEOS Club volunteered at AIDS Walk LA. Volunteers gathered around the streets of LA to cheer on runners as well as passing out snacks/water.

Red Ribbon Rally At the annual West Covina Red Ribbon Rally, members assisted with handing out pancakes to all the families that came out to be apart of the event. After the event, our members helped with the Interact Club with cleaning up the aftermath of the exciting morning.

Key Leader

Key leader was an unforgettable experience for the attendees. At Camp Cedar Glen, our three members from West Covina were able to develop their leadership skills, learning to lead different types of people, but also learning how to support anyone in any situation. The three members participating; Melvin Han, Phillip Tran and Joshua Kuik, all made lasting bonds with young adults from all walks of life. All in all, Key Leader positively impacted West Covina's members, producing a new set of young leaders.

How Do You Feel? Spirit Sessions !

Throughout the months of October, our very hardworking STCs, Shannon Lo and Jessica Liu, prepared our division for a fantastic Fall Rally. Our first division spirit session was hosted at Cortez Park on Oct. 8th. Following with one on Oct. 22nd at Steinmetz Park and Nov. 4 at (insert place). Melanie and Melvin, our spirit members helped run our home spirit sessions to assist members finalize and perfect our cheers.
