HELLO! FROM: YOUR EDITORS
Hey Seals! Welcome to our second issue of the Sealy Scoop! We hope you had a great summer! June was a very eventful month with many service events as well as social ones. In this issue you can read about D35W OTC, an event where officers and members were able to learn more about the club and the tasks that are carried out by each officer to make Key Club successful. Chronicles from the Pump Track On June 11, volunteers went to the Jeff Seymour Family Center to assist BikeSGV on restoring their bike park. Members got together to dig up weed and reshape the pump track. This event helped eliminating the weed flourishing in the track to bring it back from its former glory and to make it safer for the public to access.

Meet the Officers! 2017 - 2018 Hello Friends! My name is Cassidy Hang, and I proudly serve as the WCHS Key Club President for the 2017-2018 term. It is an honor to be grouped with so many inspiring officers this year, and I am so stoked to be working alongside with them. For this year's term, I am looking forward to meeting more individuals that will influence me through my work, and creating SEAL-ly memories with all the members. I also hope that this organization will portray a new light to your high school journey, to which you will all gain a memorable experience just like how my officers and I did! With that said, I can't wait for this year to begin and please come to me with any concerns or questions about key club. LOVE YA ALL! OH YEAH! Did you know that I have a very cute pomerian shitzu name, Minnie? Also, I am an enthusiastic fan for KPOP as well as Khalid. WOAHHH!Â
Hey! My name is Valerie Manzano and will be serving as your 2017-2018 Vice President. I'm excited to make a SPLASH for my last year in key club by making an impact not only within the community but the on members as well by going above and beyond on what a Vice President can do. I'm may be small but key club has enabled me to make a big difference.

HIYA!! My name is Kathy Bui and I'm Co-Vice President of Key Club! I'm excited to see many new faces as well as many old ones as our club continues to grow this term! Haagen Dazs ice cream is my most favorite thing ever.
Hi seals!! I'm Marielle and i'm Public Relations officer! Key club has been such a fun experience these past 3 years, and i'm truly looking forward to what THIS year has in stock. Hi, my name is Joshua Kuik. As the newly elected secretary of West Covina's Key Club,I am excited to be able to better my home club in a different way than when I was a member. It will be satisfying to be able to create new events and ideas for the club.
Hey everyone! My name is Brendan Sam and I am the Treasurer of Key Club. I am looking forward to helping our club fundraise more so we can have more events. I like anything with tea in it.

Hi! My name is Jasmine and I'm this year's Historian. I am excited to record events and the accomplishments of the club to promote to future key club members! I also really like watching k dramas.
Hey what’s up seals! My name is Phillip Tran and I will be serving as your other historian this year. I’m thrilled to be capturing our moments together in our club as we will be looking back at it when the year ends. A fact about me is that I can sleep in for a whole day or two.

Officer Training Conference
OTC was hosted this year on June 17 at Mountain View High School. Our theme was placed as "Leadership Through the Hundred Acre Woods"; in which we ventured through a road to becoming stronger leaders for the clubs we serve. Presentations were showed to illustrate the different aspects to being a good service leader.

Brochure Day
On July 1st, our club teamed up with Edgewood High School's Key Club to promote the After School Program to local businesses around West Covina. This program will help businesses get advertised for joining as well as raising money for after school programs. “ I thought that this event was very beneficial to help promoting and also helping businesses around West Covina that would result in the growth of West Covina as a whole." BINGO
NIGHTÂ
Bingo Night is as always hosted at the West Covina Health Center. Volunteers will distribute out snacks and help players who need assistance. We highly encourage you to come join us every month to help. Our next bingo night will be on the July 18th. Hope to see you there!

4TH OF JULY PARADE
On July 4th, members volunteered for the Hacienda Heights “I Love America� 4th of July parade. At this event, members helped set up, hand out programs, assist with line ups, and decorations.

Region Picnic Division 13
Region Picnic is held every year by Region 13 as a way to to get our massive region to come together during the summer. Region Picnic is a great way to meet new key clubbers through fun ice breakers. Each division sold food and merchandise to raise money for PTP. Most excitingly, each division came together to battle for the spirit stick.
