Isle employees work hard to make sure guests walk into a safe, clean property, are greeted by friendly team members, and have a fantastic time. June 30 marked the Isle’s fifth anniversary. In the five years the Isle Waterloo has been in the Cedar Valley, the entertainment venue has hosted over 7.5 million guests. In 2011 alone, over 2 million guests visited the full-service entertainment venue, while over 100,000 guests stayed overnight at the Isle and took advantage of all the Cedar Valley had to offer. Since opening, the casino hotel has employed nearly 600 residents in the region and has made giving back to the community a priority through buying local, volunteerism and significant financial contributions to communities across the Cedar Valley and beyond. As an active member of the Cedar Valley, the casino hotel encourages its team
members to be active and support their own communities. In 2011, Isle team members volunteered nearly 900 volunteer hours to organizations such as Boys & Girls Club, American Cancer Society, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Northeast Iowa Food Bank, Waterloo/Cedar Falls schools and more. Isle also donated food, money, hotel rooms, ballroom space and culinary equipment to local organizations, nonprofits and fundraisers totaling over $80,000 in 2011 and nearly $300,000 in the five years it has been in business. According to Jenny Graeser, the campaign director for the Cedar Valley United Way, the Isle is a true community partner. “Their organization and employees have contributed to our efforts here at United Way and in the community in a variety of ways since their existence here in the Cedar Valley and each time exceeds our expectations,” she said. “What means even more then the long list of their philanthropic generosity is
