SKINCENTRE

20 February 2023

URGENT NOTICE TO ALL GENERAL PRACTITIIONERS:

Unfortunately, we would like to request a temporary restriction to new patient referrals.

Dr Sandra Winhoven is on leave until March 2024 and was unable to find a locum. Dr Alistair Brown has returned to the UK. Last year Dr Louise Cutts left and also returned to the UK. This has left us two Dermatologists down and unable to sustain our previous clinical load. We are working hard to ensure our existing patients’ needs are being met in a timely manner.

Of course we are actively seeking Dermatologists, however in the interim we would like to ask that referring Doctors follow guidelines below to allow us to prioritise those patients with more urgent requirements:

• New patient medical referrals – only able to accommodate urgent medical dermatology

• New patient skin checks – only able to accommodate skin checks for new patients with an urgent lesion concern or a past history of melanoma

We would also like to ask that all referrals go through Specialist & Referral portals – Manage My Health & Indici We will no longer accept referrals via email.

We appreciate your co-operation.

Kind regards
