Change: Household Contacts Management Plan Description Update to simplify the Household management plan. Household contacts are being separated out from the HighRisk plan, and now have their own Management Plan in the system to control isolation periods.
What this means A single rule in regards to isolation across ALL Household members will be implemented as below: • A Case will isolate for 10 days from their Test date (Isolation start date) • A Household contact will isolate for the same 10 days as the positive Case • Close contacts outside of the Household will isolate for 7 days.
If a Household member later tests positive i.e. an additional Case in the Household, this does NOT change the isolation periods above. In line with the simplified Management Plan, there is simplified approach to Household Exposures, meaning: • There will no longer be ‘continuous’ exposures for Households • A single Household exposure will be used i.e. the earliest Test date of Household members • Removal of the ‘Record Extra Exposure’ button • Introduction of a ‘Predicted Isolation End Date’ The following changes to adding Household contacts and recording their exposures will be made, these include: • Adding a household member will auto calculate the Exposure start and end dates • Household exposures will be classed as ‘Close Household Contacts’ • Close Household contacts will be ranked as #1
