COMPANY HISTORY Our company was founded by Bernard Patton in the late 1940’s as Flourescent Tube Service & Exchange Company, Inc. Bernard Patton invented the machine that rejuvenated fluorescent light bulbs. Against the conception of researchers and engineers, the company was formed well ahead of its time in the world of recycling and energy saving. As Bernard battled illness, his wife Dorothy came to the forefront and took the reins. With perseverance, charge and influence, she became a pioneer of her own in the early 1950’s as a woman-owned full wholesale lighting distributor representing top manufacturers such as General Electric, Sylvania and Westinghouse. Bernard Patton circa 1940’s
Dorothy’s granddaughter, Michele, began working under her tutelage; and in 1979, Dorothy’s health dictated that she pass the torch on to Michele, who would take the concept and progress of the business into the future.
