Tough times. The economy is at its nadir. There’s not much money in the present and not much hope on the horizon for a motley crew living in rural Argentina in 2001…until retired soccer player Fermin (Ricardo Darin, the charismatic star of THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES and WILD TALES) comes up with a plan to pool everyone’s scant resources in a cooperative. Things look good until a lying bank manager convinces them to put all their hard-earned money into a savings account he knows is about to go bust, leaving their money in the bank’s hands. But, with an ingenious scheme, Fermin and company plan a clever heist of their own to get back what’s theirs. Can it work?
