Qualifications: MSc/PgDip/PgCert This course is open to Health Professions Council registered physiotherapists who wish to develop and extend their knowledge base and professional expertise. There is a strong emphasis on manual skills and mentored clinical practice allowing the student to develop their knowledge and expertise. The clinical module offers students the opportunity to apply, test and expand their university-based learning in a clinical setting under the guidance of an experienced mentor. The course embraces and integrates the many and diverse approaches currently employed in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal patients. Students who successfully complete the postgraduate diploma are eligible to join the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapist (MACP).

Physiotherapy Qualifications: MSc/PgDip/PgCert This course is offered to physiotherapists who wish to extend their knowledge and professional expertise in physiotherapy. It provides an opportunity for personal and professional development and aims to prepare students for specialist roles in the clinical, managerial, educational or research environments. The course builds upon student’s current knowledge and experience to facilitate an exploration of physiotherapy in its many forms. The flexibility of the programme allows students to choose their own programme of study, which enables them to advance their knowledge and skills in their own particular area of interest.

Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy Qualifications: MSc/PgDip/PgCert This part-time course is open to HPC registered physiotherapists who wish to develop and extend their professional expertise in the discipline of sports and exercise physiotherapy. There is a strong emphasis on the advancement of manual skills in the first year allowing the student to develop these core skills. Completion of year one will give the students a PgCert in sports and exercise physiotherapy. Year 2 incorporates research skills and a further advanced skills option module, with a dissertation in year 3. The course integrates the many and diverse approaches currently employed in the assessment and management of sports injuries.
