WANT TO BE ON THE BOARD? By Elections Committee The 44th Annual Meeting of the Watergate at Landmark Condominium Unit Owners Association will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021. Four positions will be filled on the Board of Directors (BOD). At that meeting, three candidates with the highest percentage of votes will be elected to three-year terms and one candidate with the next highest percentage of votes will be elected to a one-year term on the BOD. Any qualified owner may run for a position. How Do I Become a Candidate? Pick up and complete an official nominating petition from Resident Services located in the Community Center. Petitions must include your name, building and unit number, phone number and signature. Your petition must be endorsed by at least 10 unit owners and you are encouraged to get more signatures in case some are proven to be invalid.

Only one owner’s signature per unit is allowed. With your petition, attach a signed autobiographical document and a campaign statement not to exceed 300 words per document. File these papers with the Elections Committee by placing them in the designated box located at Resident Services no later than noon on Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Saturday, December 19, 2020 The deadline for filing nominating petitions to become a candidate for the Board of Directors is at Noon (12 p.m.) on this day. Candidates also will meet virtually with the Elections Committee to validate all petitions and to determine each candidate’s position on the ballot. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 A formal “Virtual Meet the Candidates” Town Hall will be held at 7:30 p.m. to provide an opportunity to hear all candidates present their views. Monday, March 1, 2021 The Annual Meeting and Elections will be held on this evening.
