THE ART OF ANIMATION COURSE DESCRIPTION In this course, students will learn how to create animations using various traditional 2D and rotoscoping techniques as well as 3D and Claymation techniques. This course will introduce the student to the history of animation and how it has evolved into what we know of it today. Students will learn how to develop ideas through various stages from sketches to storyboards to complete works and turn them into animation through planning and design. Students will continue to use and build upon their skills and knowledge from previous art classes to use the elements of art and the principles of design to solve visual art problems. Prerequisite: Digital Art and Design I.
