2D STUDIO ART II: DRAWING, PAINTING & PRINTMAKING COURSE DESCRIPTION This course is a continuation of the two-dimensional work covered in the Art Exploration courses with the addition of Printmaking. Students will build upon previous knowledge of the Elements and Principles, as well as the various media and techniques that they have previously explored. A greater emphasis will be placed on the development of imagination through experimentation. Students will explore the meaning of the various works of art, including their own work, the work of peers and the work of well-known artists. Monotype, collagraph and linoleum printmaking techniques will be introduced.
Prerequisite: Art Exploration: Drawing and Clay OR Art Exploration: Painting and Sculpture
