The post-Christmas Head Race season kicked off with the Stourport Head on Sunday 29th January, with lots of Warwick crews in attendance eager to race. For some of our newer members, this was their first taster of rowing competition, having only learnt to row last year. For the first time, Warwick entered not one but 2 senior women’s eights, a signal to the clubs out there of what is yet to come with our growing Women’s squad.
The women secured 3 wins, including the 8+, 4x- and 2x. A fabulous result, the hard erg metres on dark nights combined with early on the water sessions seemed to really pay off.
