Senior Citizens stay younger longer through their involvement in the arts! Karen Lottman Clinician/Services Coordinator for Jewish Family and Community Services East Bay is a strong advocate for senior citizens living on a fixed income to be involved with Center for Community Arts. She has been instrumental in assisting community members to apply for scholarships through the Foundation. According to Karen, “What a great opportunity for seniors living on a fixed income! With this extra help, many more, who might not otherwise have the chance to participate in these great classes, now do”. If you know of seniors, adults or families living in Contra Costa County, who have financial need and are interested in Community Arts programs, please encourage them to fill out a scholarship application available at:

Kori Johnson Makes Outreach Look Easy! Kori Johnson joined the Community Arts staff last year as the Program Assistant for Community Outreach. Before coming to Walnut Creek, Kori managed school partnerships at Washington, D.C. organization, Turning the Page, focusing on family engagement in public schools.
