eginning her nursing career at Portland Sanitarium and Hospital, Class of 1940 member Eunice (Cartwright) Oliver worked for several years before setting her sights on the mission field. In 1942, she married and later traveled with her husband,

John Oliver ’43, to mission service at the Gifford Memorial Hospital of the Seventh-Day Adventists in Nuzvid, India. Eunice and John spent 18 years in India and six years in the Scheer Memorial Hospital in Banepa, Nepal. She and her husband, John, who lives in Carmichael, Calif., raised three children. Son Donald lives in Sacramento, Calif., son Robert lives in Sacramento, and daughter Margaret lives in Tukwila, Wash. Eunice’s sister, Doris Force, lives in Hillsboro, Ore. Eunice was born Nov. 30, 1914, in Colville, Wash., and died June 30, 2006, in Fair Oaks, Calif.
Wedin—Elizabeth (Nix) ’34 was born Dec. 16, 1913, in Sumner, Wash., and died June 10, 2006, in Centralia, Wash. Surviving: son Galen of Chehalis, Wash.; daughter Sue Noble Jones of Centralia; and sister Alberta Johnson of Chehalis.
