Wallace Chen

Wallace Chen is a J.D. candidate with a profound interest in how legal principles intersect with public policy and everyday life. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in Government and minored in Sociology. Wallace graduated with honors and recognition as a COLA Scholar, consistently making the dean's list every semester. His academic prowess earned him the prestigious O'Quinn Foundation Scholarship and the Chancellor's Law Scholarship. Before entering law school, Wallace was the Director of Debate at SpiderSmart, where he significantly enhanced the program's profile, guiding his teams to victories at the 2019 National Debate Championship and the 2022 Texas Debate Championship. His leadership and innovative training methods have been key to his teams' undefeated records at both state and national levels. In law school, Wallace is noted for his exemplary writing and communication skills, serving as the primary notetaker for his section. His commitment to aiding peers, especially LL.M. students and those facing language barriers, is commendable.
