CLASS OF 2006 Engineering Programme Manager at Rolls Royce A Levels: Maths, Physics, Design & Technology, General Studies Nicholas left Wakefield after completing his A Levels to read Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London. While studying for his Masters Degree, he undertook a three month internship at Rolls Royce, working on the development of the JSF F-35 Aircraft. Following university, he took a gap year where he volunteered on a ten week programme in the Borneo Rainforest, employing his practical engineering skills. He also traveled Australia and New Zealand and worked as Transport Planner, managing the operational and commercial challenges of the role. In 2011 he re-joined Rolls Royce on their Engineering Leadership Graduate Scheme. Since then he has worked in their Defence, Civil and Marine sectors, working in engineering design and project management roles. In 2014 he also completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Aerospace Science from the University of the West of England. He is now Engineering Programme Manager working to deliver the next generation of Trent Civil Airline Engines for Airbus & Boeing. 65
