GUSTLIN IS HUSTLIN’

TILE STYLE

An impressive collection of fine and contemporary art awaits you just over the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. The famed Canfin Gallery in Tarrytown, N.Y., is dedicating an exhibit this fall to the “New Works” of San Franciscobased artist Jylian Gustlin. Gustlin is known for her colorful, mixedmedia paintings of geometric shapes and figures, which almost pop off the canvas with a multidimensional fluidity. The exhibit runs Oct. 12–Nov. 10, 2019. • Canfin Gallery, 39 Main St., Tarrytown, N.Y., 914.332.4554

Much like a portrait or a sculpture, tiles can tell a story and add an artistic dimension to a room. And that’s certainly true for Much Love Me, the debut tile collaboration between artisan tile brand Clé and South African artist Ruan Hoffmann. This collection features hand-drawn designs such as flowers and shapes on each 12x12 tile, and they’re interchangeable to fit any space. They also come in two neutral colors: charcoal and Delft blue. JAVA CHICKS

These new cups are perfect for a coffee break with the girls. The new illy Art Collection’s espresso and cappuccino cups and saucers are designed by Italian artist Olimpia Zagnoli, and inspired by and dedicated to women. Each of the six cups features an illustration of a different gal, with her own point of view and story to tell over coffee and a pastry. No matter which of these six “sisters” you identify with most, they’ll all be a hit.
