Qualification Details This short award provides overseas registered nurses with a qualification that meets the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) requirements for registration. NOTE: To achieve the award of the Short Award in Nursing in New Zealand, students must pass a total of 30 compulsory credits and demonstrate that all the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) competencies for the scope of practice are met. Overseas registered nurses who do not meet NCNZ registration status are required to complete four weeks of nursing practicum. Domestic registered nurses who hold NCNZ registration status are required to complete two weeks of nursing practicum.
