VISUAL STANDARDS GUIDE The Visual Standards book takes all of the previous work and research that we have created and sets a standard for consistency. It also establishes future expansions which allows for the brand to continue growing.

Objective

Gaming has become fairly popular in the last decade, and it has attracted new interest. Gaming has the ability to “level up� our quality of life in many aspects. SEGA can make gaming a better experience for players without having to focus on the actual games. SEGA will continue to build on what goals and ambitions they have.

To push individuals to reach outside of their comfort zone and towards the goals and achievements that they have always striven towards.

Logo Anatomy is an in-depth look into the logo and its corresponding elements. The symbol and the wordmark feature similar angles. This keeps both the symbol and the word mark consistent when paired up. They also have a variation of curved and edged corners.

The X height of the logo comes from the center piece. The length and width of the center steps in the logo. The X represent the space that the logo needs, in order to be clearly placed in a layout.


These are the three different areas which must be clear of content for the logo to be properly represented. The spaces around the mark are of one X. While between the symbol and the word mark the space should be .5 X.

SIZING CHART

The sizing chart sets the standard for how the logo should be presented for the different sizes for optimal understanding of the logo, without sacrificing readability. The height refers to the symbol when combined. The “2nd� mark refers to the variation of the logo. This has been done so that the logo may retain legibility and form in lower sizes.

Symbol

When using horizontal logo, you can resize the wordmark as the size decreases for legibility purposes. Be sure to still follow clear space rules. You may resize the wordmark to line up to the following elements.

INCORRECT USES

Incorrect uses highlights the ways that the logo may not be modified or altered into. This is done for consistency and value purposes. Any changes to the mark must be done with the guidelines in mind.


Some of these incorrect uses include: scale, color change, removal of elements, rotation of logo, elements blocking logo, foreground and logo are similar shades or vibrating, gradients, drop shadow or stretching. When making changes to the mark be sure to refer to the proper guidelines.

General TYPOGRAPHY

TURNPIKE

Typography usage will help anyone determine what to use and when. This is some of the typography that goes along with the brand.

Turnpike has been used for headers and decorative uses. For decorative you may use the type as a stroke. Using the stroke as a thin line enhances the visual effect.
