In 2008 Topsail Wimpy was imported from Green Valley Ranch in Texas to Kumeu, New Zealand. Jozette started and trained Wimpy and competed him at the NZRHA Futurity Show in 2012, winning the Novice Horse class and obtaining the highest score of the show. A couple of weeks later in March 2012 Topsail Wimpy flew to Australia to start his preparation for the Reining Australia National Futurity. He was put in the capable hands of Reining trainer Rob Lawson to finish off his training and add the finesse required for this level of competition. He was already showing a lot of talent before he left NZ and he had all the breeding and potential to make it worthwhile to send him to Australia to compete. In October 2012 Topsail Wimpy competed and came out with the following titles: 2012 Reining Australia Intermediate Open Futurity Champion and 2012 Reining Australia Open Futurity Reserve Champion, a fantastic achievement for all concerned and a very exciting trip to Tamworth for his owners and supporters! www.ultimatestallionsaustralia.com

AuSome Compay Paso Creole Compay was bred by Olivaylle Pty Ltd in far Western Victoria and came to Narrawin in November 2007. He is by the beautiful imported Peruvian Paso stallion Capoira BSN, out of R-N's Carinita, an outstanding imported Paso Fino mare. He combines the best of both breeds and is a classic example of the Paso Creole Horse. He is a bright bay with minimal white, standing at just under 15 hands. He shows brio, is well mannered and smart with plenty of Paso gait. His is beautifully put together with plenty of substance and has that look at me quality. His progeny are quality horses who show a nice smooth gait.

Rev was bred, trained and shown in Florida, USA. Following this, he spent several years in NZ and produced many outstanding foals for Soho Pasos. He came to Narrawin Stud in May 2013 and will be at stud here for his first season this spring. Rev is just under 15 hands. He is a well proportioned horse of substance and elegance. He has brio, that lovely mixture of exuberant energy and willingness to please. Being naturally gaited, he is fantastic to ride, as well as easy to manage in hand and a fine horse to look at in the padock and under saddle. Rev is from pure Columbian lines. He shows the Paso Fino gait in excellent collection. Paso Finos produce beautiful and usually well gaited Paso Creole foals when crossed with other breeds.

alousa San Sebastian has a top-class Warmblood pedigree. He won his first dressage test with 68 per cent and is currently jumping 1.30m (won). His pedigree boasts dressage champions Gribaldi and Wolkentanz/ Weltmeyer and he inherits his jumping ability from Volturno. His sire, San Remo (black, 1.72m), is by Wolkentanz I—Champion of the Stallion Licensing in 1993—son of the famous Weltmeyer. Great
grandsire, Volturno (by Vollkorn XX) was 1978/1980 German eventing champion and won two silver Olympic medals (1976 Montreal, 1980 France). His dam, Palousa Caprice (fivetimes NAS National Champ), is by Gribaldi (black, 1.72m), a Grand Prix Dressage International stallion and champion sire of such talent as Totilas and Painted Black. Summersea - Ego Run by Linda Mayer with help from her daughter Dylan and Nicolle Morgan. Linda began breeding back in 1976, spurred by a passion for showjumping that led to exclusively breeding showjumpers (and only showjumpers), starting with the importation of Contact. Contact was a good 20 years before his time and few people understood that he was the only one the Holstein Verband allowed out that year. Indeed, apart from a few riders that had competed overseas (Colleen Brook and Guy Creighton), this pure showjumping bred stallion was primarily used by dressage riders. It was during these early years that, along with Philip Hazzard, Linda became interested in equine reproduction, as the 1970s saw chilled semen collections kept using home made extender. Apart from her university years, Linda continued to breed pure showjumping stock and became the first to import semen from the famous Zangersheide stallions Carthago Z , Rex Z, Calvaro Z, Cor d’Alme Z amongst others into Australia. By 1998, Linda had mastered ultrasonography and frozen semen AI, and was one of the first in Australia to routinely use deep horn low dose to gain even better pregnancies per cycle rates.
Linda has been aware of the price and interest for her stock to return to Europe, but is proud to support Australian breeders and riders. To keep youngsters in Australia many were sold on the condition they remain in Australia a minimum of 8 years prior to resale overseas. It was this protocol that saw “EGO” youngsters, as few as 6-7 bred per year, elevate the brand to one of the most sought after.
To obtain a Camelot youngster, one needs to breed one. It is rare that a Camelot youngster is advertised and Summersea currently has none. Camelot is now rising 16years of age. Summersea operates in Pyree, a small dairy town on the South Coast of NSW, an easy 2 ½ hours from Sydney CBD. Summersea does not have a competition team so all stock are for sale. This year, we invite interest for the use of our elite mares in an ET program utilising Groupe France Elevage frozen semen or Camelot Ego Z – pay the semen fee on a live foal.

Summersea now breeds 3-5 foals per year (which includes sport ponies) using females that boast generations of pure jumping blood with mares by Carthago Z, Parco, Mr. Blue, Cor’d Alme Z, Air Jordan Z, Lux Z and Camelot Ego Z.
Many stallions have passed through Linda’s hands however one that stands out in absolute genetic dominance is Camelot Ego Z by Carthago Z (dec). Camelot embodies an extreme type stallion and has well and truly earned his place as a leading showjumping sire. Always standing at a reasonable fee, he has allowed those with less funds to compete and stand in the winners circle alongside expensive imported stock trained and ridden by professionals. Over all sorts of mares, with an average of less than 6 foals per year, Camelot has one of the lowest attrition rates ever. Camelot consistently throws an excellent canter and prodigious jump in a generally tall, flexible, well framed, trainable youngster. His youngsters have won and placed at DJWTS, most young horse classes, major futurities, GP’s and WC classes. At present he has 3 on the EA talent squad.

With foresight for the purchase of a Cor-de-la-Bryere son and also European frozen semen ( before any of the sires gained European elite status ) along with reproduction expertise, Linda has been able to supply worldwide rare and elite high class breeding stock. To this day Linda still fields calls from overseas for frozen semen or young stock.
Despite decreasing stock numbers, “Ego” will remain synonymous with European elite showjumping horses bred in Australia for many years to come.
