of women filmmakers in general. But perhaps the sensitivity, delicacy and precision of the female gaze can identify nuances the male gaze overlooks. Not every creation authored by a woman addresses female identity as such, but our hope is that an increase in women filmmakers will yield more varied representations of the female narrative, and present more complex, diverse female characters. These representations on screen might then serve to effect actual change in reality. Thanks for your time and thought, Efrat and Osi. We wish you all the best with your filmmaker career! What's next for you? The film “Day” was created in 2010. Since then we have collaborated on several performances which combine dance and animation, including “Fold,” “Between Walls” and “Year of the Hare.” At the moment, we are working individually, but maintain our strong friendship, and offer counsel for our personal projects. Our shared thinking has always been, and still is, a source of inspiration for us both.Efrat is currently working on a new video dance entitled: “Crows,” a film based on a dance work

she created called “Relative.” Following a dysfunctional family who gradually transform into crows, the video dance will premiere at the end of September 2016. In addition, Efrat is an active choreographer. She has since created two works for the stage, “Relative” and “Snake Toy.” In November, “Relative” will perform at the Lublin dance festival in Poland. Osi recently created the animated short “Reflection,” which premiered at the Locarno International Film Festival (created as part of the Love Letter to Cinema project of the Sam Spiegel Film School). Also she is working on the sound design for a short film entitled “ReOrganization,” which she created in collaboration with animators Ricardo Werdesheim and Moran Somer - an experimental film inspired by a visit to the archives of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem – ordered by the museum for the event “Contact Point”. Osi is currently working on the development of a number of new films, including two animation shorts together with screenwriter Noa Berman-Herzberg: one documentary and the other a mockumentary dealing with, among other things, women in film.
