there are signs that something is changing. What's your view on the future of women in cinema? I’m glad to feel confidence as a professional when I make a film or perform a job. I don’t think there should be a cinema exclusively made by women; I find the best way to work is based on integration and, in that sense, the space women have conquered in roles we weren’t able to get for decades before is a great sign. This wouldn’t have been possible if society hadn’t given some preconceptions up and without a struggle for recognition and liberty of expression and meaning. There’s a revolution ahead, in which women can express ourselves about what we know best using every available resource. Thanks for your time and thought, Natalia Lucía. We wish you all the

best with your filmmaker career! What's next for Natalia Lucía? My next project is related to small communities that get together and perform an act of faith, religious or mystic, in which they try to connect with the idea of transcendence using the tools they know best to express it. This movie was born in the south of Italy, where I had the chance to take part in a ritual celebrated in a river of frozen waters where people pray to their god at dawn; this river offers healing properties for the body. The project should be developed as an observational documentary in which groups of people perform rituals in contact with nature, with fundamental elements as water, fire and earth. Thanks for your time too and, above all, for your interest in Teixoneras and my work.
