Gouda is inextricably linked to its world renowned crafts. You can experience these on many locations! For example, you can witness the dealings of the cheese traders at the Gouda Cheese Market. But you will also come across the Gouda syrup waffle, Gouda beer, Gouda clay pipes and Gouda pottery in the centre of the city. During the much-loved event Gouda by Candlelight, the old town hall and Markt are magically illuminated by thousands of real Gouda candles.
