He scored 12 rushing TDs during the seven-game stretch. Stacy also became the first 'Dore running back in two decades to earn SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors following a 135-yard, 3-TD performance vs. Kentucky on Nov. 12.

Vanderbilt Head Coach James Franklin, Offensive Coordinator John Donovan, Director of Performance & Enhancement Dwight Galt and Football Chief of Staff Jemal Griffin have close professional ties to Cincinnati co-Defensive Coordinator Tim Banks. Franklin, Donovan, Galt, Griffin and Banks served together at Maryland under Head Coach Ralph Friedgen. Banks coached the Terp secondary in 2006 and inside linebackers from 2003-05. Franklin served with Banks in 2003-04 as Maryland's recruiting coordinator and wide receivers coach. Donovan coached Maryland running backs in 2005 and quarterbacks in 2006. Galt directed the strength and conditioning effort for Maryland football while Banks served on the Terp staff. Griffin served as Maryland's assistant recruiting coordinator in 2006.

Hand Worked With UC Head Coach Vanderbilt offensive line coach Herb Hand and Cincinnati Head Coach Butch Jones were members of the West Virginia offensive staff in 2005-06. With Hand coaching tight ends and Jones mentoring wide receivers, the Mountaineers recorded back-to-back 11-win campaigns, earned a pair of top-10 national rankings. West Virginia also notched victories in the Sugar Bowl and Gator Bowl during those years.

Beatty, UC's Johnson Coach Ties Prior to joining the Franklin staff this year, Vanderbilt offensive recruiting coordinator/wide receivers coach Chris Beatty served three years at West Virginia with current Cincinnati tight ends coach Dave Johnson. Beatty coached running backs, slot receivers and directed the recruiting effort as a WVU coach from 2008-10. Johnson served the same three years as the Mountaineers' offensive line coach.

Prep Teammates Facing Off Two Commodores will face prep teammates when the Commodores and Bearcats meet in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. • Andrew Bridges (R-Fr., OT) was a teammate at Westminister School in Atlanta with Cincinnati's Ralph David Abernathy IV (Fr., RB). • John Townsley (Jr., QB) and Cincinnati's Blake Annen (R-So.) were teammates at Upper Arlington (Ohio) H.S. Townsley is a first-year walk-on.

Larry Smith (R-Sr., QB) has surpassed three career passing milestones this season: 300 completions, 600 attempts and 3,000 yards. Smith ranks seventh all-time in attempts (611) and completions (301). He is 10th in career passing yards (3,036). Smith's last pass, coming vs. Wake Forest, resulted in a 45-yard TD to Jordan Matthews (So., WR).
