SB Dolphins celebrate season at awards event In a display of talent and achievement, the South Burlington Dolphins capped off a stellar year with their end-of-the-year awards event at the Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center’s film room this past week. The Dolphins and their supporters celebrated the football season and the cheer team. Amid applause and cheers, the Dolphins expressed gratitude to the coaches and players who contributed to this year’s season. The highlight of the night was the prestigious Ricky Crouch Award, an annual honor bestowed upon deserving athletes. This award provides scholarships to a select few, enabling them to attend the Vermont all-star football camp for free — an initiative that supports individuals in need

of financial assistance. Named after the late Ricky Crouch, a beloved member of the Dolphins family who tragically died on the eve of his race car driving career, the award symbolizes resilience and commitment. “The Dolphins look forward to building on this year’s triumphs and are excited about the prospects of the upcoming season,” said Dolphins coach Javen Sears. “The event truly encapsulated the spirit of community, camaraderie and a shared passion for sports.” The Dolphins offer young athletes free weight lifting and resistance training sessions every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:306:30 p.m., as well as Saturdays from 10 a.m.-noon, from December to May.
