to fulfil local interests. We expect the revised articles to be ready in the next few months so that BOD can approve and send to General Body for final approval. Life-Membership Drive & Dasoha: The task group met briefly to brain-storm on how to motivate local chapter members to become life-members of Central VSNA. The felt it was not about membership fees but the lack of motivation and the spread of message of VSNA. The group has few ideas to experiment at convention. The work on increasing membership will continue. Scholarship Fundraising: The task group has initiated to increase scholarship amounts for essays competitions and to seek donors for scholarship funds. Welcome Kit, Brochures and Guidelines Documents: The plan is to prepare printed documents and brochures so that the package can be distributed to new life-members and also mail certain gifts or souvenirs to life-members at least once a year. The task group plans to meet during second quarter. Awards Committee: The task group for the next two years has been formed. They will carry out the tasks of inviting nominations for various VSNA awards and assessing the award winners.

BOR Updates By - Laxmi Hiremath, Board of Regents, Chair I am truly humbled and honored to serve as your Chairman of the Board of Regents. Thank you again for re-electing me for yet another two year term 2015-16 as your BOR Chair. One of the best VSNA rewards to me is becoming the Chairman of the Board of Regents. It has been very satisfying and fulfilling. Welcome New Team! I have worked to bring innovative approaches in the last few years. I will do so in my new term and continue the notable work that we have been doing. I welcome my new BOR team members, Rohini Mensinkai, Shylendra Kumar, Jayashree Jagadeesh, Uma Sajjan, Dada Patil, and Rajeev Kumar. I am privileged to lead an outstanding team. The Board of Regents, although an independent body in itself, works closely with the Board of Directors for enriching the VSNA community. We will identify and implement short and long term projects as we have done before, bring them to fruition, turn over to BOD to make them operational and run effectively. I am excited and look forward to working closely with the entire team! Former BOR Team Endeavors! Last two years have been an amazing journey. My teammates support and dedication has been crucial every step of the way. BOR team, year 2013-14 consisted of Dr. Nagabhushan, Dada Patil, Mamatha Hirannaiah, Uma Sajjan and Rajeev Kumar. I am very proud to say, my teammates were very enthusiastic and steadfast. We all worked as a team. Let's look back on our record of accomplishments, from the historic Matrimonial Service, VSNA Directory, Youth Scholarship, Youth Executive Board, and Religious Committee. We hit the social media as well, I have launched a VSNA Women’s Club and a closed Youth Group on Facebook.
