Heat one took place on the Saturday with some good weather which continued in to Sunday for the 2nd heat, the pre-finals and the main event, the British Open Championship.
HONDA CADET Harry Thompson started on pole for heat one and he finished in 1st, in heat 2, he dominated once again. Thompson started on pole for the pre-final but unfortunately had a bad start and dropped to 13th. This led to a interesting battle between Wesley
Mason, Alex Lloyd, Oliver Clarke and Ben Fayers with and 4 of them able to take the win. Clarke crossed the line 1st meaning he started on pole for the ‘O’ plate, Alex Lloyd 2nd and Ben Fayers 3rd. Harry Thompson managed to get back up to 8th. Clarke and Lloyd held on to the first two podium positions for the first few laps of the race before dropping to positions 5th and 6th. This gave Mason the chance to take the lead; he took it and led all the way to the end to take the ‘O’ plate.

weekend. William Petitt looked good on Saturday, winning heat one, but it was Fin Kenneally who came out on top in heat 2 on Sunday. Zachary Robertson won the Pre-final, after starting 5th meaning he started on pole for the final with William Petitt next to him on the grid. Robertson
lost the lead after a couple of laps, leaving Petitt to take the take charge. Petitt pulled away and went on to take the first place on the podium. A substantial 2.7 seconds behind him was Fin Kenneally who set the fastest lap and Kiern Jewiss took 3rd. Alex Charpentier finished 4th after a great drive

RND.1 – PF INTERNATIONAL
The opening round of the 2015 LGM Series & X30 Tour was an event that almost didn’t happen. Minor alterations to one of the corners at PF resulted in the MSA Permit being withdrawn on Wednesday. A series of frantic phone calls were made by the TVKC chairman Nigel Edwards and circuit owner Paul Fletcher, initially without much success. However, after the CIK Vice President Kees Van De Grint intervened, permission was finally granted late on Thursday evening. At least Paul had a smile on his face on Saturday morning as he contemplated a record-breaking entry of 69
competitors in the Senior X30 class. “There’s never been a “C” Final for any class on my circuit,” he beamed. “It just goes to show that, if you can get the formula right, there are still plenty of adult karters who want to take part in MSA racing.” LGM Lorcan Hanafin, Brandon Martland, Jonny Edgar, Joseph Taylor. Dexter Patterson and Matthew Hunt all emerged as Heat winners. It was Edgar, however, who claimed pole position for the “A” Final, with Patterson sitting alongside him on row 1. Immediately behind these two were Taylor Barnard and Finlay Bunce. Down at the other end sat Alex
Walker, Alicia Goundry, Daniel Butterworth and Aiden Neate all qualified via the “B” Final. Edgar made a good start, but Patterson looked to be in trouble as

behind the leader with Patterson in tow. Martland, Bunce and Harry Thompson were all in contention at mid distance, but Reggie Duhy had started to fall off the pace slightly. With four laps remaining Edgar, Taylor, Patterson and Thompson had broken away from the chasing pack. Taylor went up Edgar’s inside, forcing him to drop 5 places, as Thompson took the lead
followed by Patterson. Edgar fought his way up to 4th as Taylor dropped down to 6th. Over the bridge they emerged on their final lap with Edgar moving ahead of Patterson and then overtaking Barnard for 2nd. Patterson’s race ended badly when, with just a couple of corners left, he was struck by Duhy and lost ten places. Thompson crossed the line delighted to chalk up his first Little Green Man victory followed by Edgar, Barnard, Taylor and Bunce. After retiring from an earlier Heat, Albert Carter had started this race off grid 25 but performed admirably to finally finish in 6th position.
JUNIOR X30 56 entrants in this class produced yet another record for the PF circuit. Lewis Taylor, Alfie Brown and Eddie Hack all dipped under the 1 minute mark in Timed Qualifying. Taylor won his Heat followed by Hack and Bradshaw. Brown picked up the win next time out, with Mario Mills finishing 2nd ahead of Ben Wooldridge. In the “A” Final Lewis Taylor was unable to capitalise on his pole position as Brown, Bradshaw and Joshua Simms all moved ahead of him. Brown was especially quick off the mark as Bradshaw retired from 2nd place on lap 2, leaving Hack to take up the chase ahead of Taylor
