Listed below are noteworthy road works of which the Traffic and Road Safety Section has been informed. Details are supplied as per information received by 16:00 hrs. on the preceding Thursday. Emergency road works cannot be forecast.

PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURES

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Proposed Temporary Closure of R138 Stillorgan Road Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council proposes to temporarily close R138/Stillorgan Road from Fosters Avenue to Belfield Bridge on Sunday 2nd June, 2019 from 13.30 p.m. to 16.30 p.m. in order to facilitate the running of the Women’s Mini Marathon. The proposed diversion route is via Foster’s Avenue and Roebuck Road. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and the diversion route will be signposted. Any interested party may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin or email info@dlrcoco.ie before noon on: Friday 10th May, 2019.

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Proposed Temporary Closure of Castle Street, Dalkey Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application to temporarily close Castle Street from Allied Irish Bank to The Church of the Assumption, Castle Street, Dalkey on Saturday 15th June, 2019 and Sunday 16th June, 2019 from 11a.m. to 7.00 p.m. in order to promote Dalkey Book Festival. The purpose of the closure is to facilitate the street festival run in conjunction with Dalkey Book Festival and to bring a festival atmosphere for community and visitors. Page 1 of 5


A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the event. Any interested party may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire or email info@dlrcoco.ie not later than noon on Wednesday 22nd May, 2019.

ROAD CLOSURES

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Temporary Closure of Benildus Avenue, Sandyford Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close Benildus Avenue, Sandyford. The closure is to be from 7.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. on Friday 17th May, 2019. The purpose of the proposed closure is to facilitate Rás Benildus. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and all diversions will be signposted. Diversion of traffic will be via Drummartin Link Road, Blackthorn Drive and Blackthorn Avenue and vice versa. Emergency access can be provided, if required, during the period of the Road Closure.

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 Red Bull Cliff Diving, Dún Laoghaire Temporary Closure of Queen’s Road and Park Road Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has made an order to temporarily close Queen’s Road and Park Road, Dún Laoghaire on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May, 2019 between 4pm and 9pm in order to facilitate the Red Bull Cliff Diving Event 2019 in the harbour. Queen’s Road will be closed from the junction with Marine Road to the junction with Park Road and Park Road will be closed from its junction with George's Street Upper to Queen’s Road. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and diversions will be signposted.

Killiney Hill Road – at the Martello Tower, Killiney **

Reinstatement works will continue until Friday, 17th May 2019 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Clonskeagh Road at Bird Avenue **

Minor footpath repairs will continue until Friday, 17th May 2019 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Moyola Court, Milltown, Dublin 14 *

Footpath and overlay works will continue until Friday 17th May between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation

St. Columbanus Road, Milltown**

Footpath repair works will continue until Friday, 17th May 2019 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Windsor Terrace – Dún Laoghaire Baths Redevelopment ** Construction commenced on the redevelopment of the Baths site on Monday, 23rd April 2018. Construction is programmed to be completed by Q1 2020. During May, pier construction will be completed. Internal construction of the building will continue with the lower level floors being installed. Construction of the new sea wall and various other walls on the site will continue. There should be no Traffic Management restrictions on Windsor Terrace with the exception of the delivery of materials, which will be short term and between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. Monday – Friday.

N11 Cabinteely (closure of south bound bus lane) *** Closure of south bound bus lane and restrictions on cycle lane will commence on Tuesday 30th April between 10.00 and 16.00 hrs to facilitate road widening works north of Circle K filing station on east side of N11. This phase of the works is scheduled for completion end of July 2019. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

Clonskeagh Road *** from Leinster Lawn to Whitethorn Road Upgrade of pedestrian and cycling facilities along Clonskeagh Road will commence on Monday, 4th March 2019. Permanent Traffic Management will be in place until end of June 2019 with lane closures between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. on weekdays.

N11 Cabinteely (closure of bus lane – north bound carriageway only) *** Works will commence on Tuesday, 26th February 2019 to construct a new signalized junction and construction of 135 m of new Druid’s Glen Road until autumn 2019. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation.

N11 – Outbound Carrigeway - Stillorgan Park Avenue Junction to Mount Merrion Junction ** Upgrading of public lighting columns and lanterns will commence on Monday, 8th April 2019 until Friday, 16th August 2019 (intermittent). Working hours 10:00 – 16:00 and 19:30 – Midnight (if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

N11 – Inbound Carriageway between – Junction Kilmacud Road Lower and Mount Merrion Junction ** Upgrading of public lighting columns and lanterns will commence on Monday, 8th April 2019 until Friday, 16th August 2019 (intermittent). Working hours 10:00 – 16:00 and 19:30 – Midnight (if required). A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation for the duration of the works.

Public Lighting Lantern and Bracket Upgrade Works ** Public lighting lantern and bracket upgrade works will take place on: 1. Glenageary Road Lower 2. Deansgrange Road 3. Blackthorn Drive 4. Brewery Road. 5. Clonskeagh Road 6. Leopardstown Road 7. Glenageary Road upper 8. York Road, 9. Brennanstown Road. 10. Sandyford Business Park. These works will continue until Friday, 30th August 2019. A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation as required.

N11 – Inbound between Brewery Road and Newtownpark Avenue Junctions ** Upgrading of public lighting columns and lanterns will commence on Monday, 28th January 2019 until Friday, 31st May 2019 (intermittent).
